Call for Contribution

You want to be an active part of this expert meeting?

We are looking for your experience and expertise in agile automotive. We are asking you to share your time and talent to give a presentation at this conference in regard to state-of-the-art and innovative technology and concepts.

  • 4 June 2020: Submitters notification of acceptance
  • 15 October 2020: Submission of presentations, tutorials, workshop material
  • 17 – 18 November 2020: Conference in Stuttgart
Contribution topics 2020

Contributions are welcome which address at least one of the following topics:

Emphasis 2020

  • Agile culture – how to build an organizational culture enabling agility, HR as enabler.
  • End-to-end Agility – Business agility
  • Agile collaboration – Practices and workflows in teams and cross-company collaboration
  • Agile @ scale – Agility on team and organization level (scaling and transformation)
  • Agile beyond software – e.g. hardware, mechanical engineering, services, purchasing, Human Resources, DevOps

Topics of interest

  • Agile organizational structures – Units and structures needed to optimally support agility, hybrid organisation
  • People in an agile environment – Cultures, values, Management leadership patterns in agile organizations, Agile Maturity Models, HR Role
  • Agile and autonomous driving – bring agility and functional safety together
  • Automotive standards – Integration of Automotive standards (Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity) and agile development
  • Customer orientation – Changing product development and business models
  • Agile Product development – Lifecycle phases, methods (Scrum Kanban, …), and tools
  • Agile KPI – Measuring success of an Agile transformation initiative
  • Agile Trends – Beyond Agility

Contributions shall be rooted in the experience of the presenters’ along following strands

  • Today’s practice
    • Experiences, lessons-learned, successes and failures
  • New barriers and future challenges
    • Which new challenges arise out of the experience?
    • Which new challenges arise out of the operating environment?
  • Future solutions
    • How to manage the challenges?
    • Innovative changes proposed to standards, technology, competence, business models, etc.
Submission types

All contributions will be peer-reviewed. All contribution material and presentations shall be provided in English.

Acceptance will be judged on the merits of the proposal, requirements for its organization, local capability to support it, and relevance for the expected conference attendees. Presented material will be published at the conference and conference web page (restricted access).

Presentations for plenary session and World Café

A short summary (half-page table of contents requested) of the intended presentation (approx 30 min presentation, plus max 10min questions & answers) shall describe experiences, challenges, solutions, and future plans regarding the development or servicing of electronic systems (software, hardware, mechanics).


Workshop proposals (table of contents or abstracts of up to one page) for thematic workshops must detail the subject, intended content, duration (3 hours), targeted number of attendees (min / max), and expected contributors (subject matter experts). Workshops will be open to conference attendees.


Tutorial proposals shall address an agile framework, process, practice or method topic either at an introductory level or an expert level. The tutorial proposal must detail the subject, intended content (3 hours). Tutorials will be open to conference attendees.
